I must have jinxed myself ><
I have been feeling fantastic for the past few weeks. I got my energy back, switched prenatal vitamins which made the nausea/carsick feeling go away, and have just been doing great! Because of my miscarriage in September, whenever I'm feeling good I feel like something must be wrong. I'm actually so glad that my vitamin made me sick, because I thought it was morning sickness. If it hadn't been for that, I would have been much more worried for those first few weeks. So anyway because I had been feeling so good, I decided something must be wrong. I even talked to my mom about it and considered calling the doctor just to ask if it's normal to feel perfectly fine and not pregnant. Well, before I had a chance today hit. I worked late last night and woke up completely exhausted this morning. I spent the rest of the morning chasing the little girl I babysit around the house, which wore me out even more.
The kicker was the nausea that hit just as Bran and I were pulling up to the drive-thru window at KFC. It wasn't just gastric-uneasiness, either. It was full blown get-the-paper-bag-ready-I'm-gonna-pop nausea. I made it through the ordering process and went with some mashed potatoes and chicken fingers. Of those, the mashed potatoes were a hit, as mashed potatoes always are with me. Actually, give me potatoes of any kind - raw, french fried, baked, you get the idea - and I'll be happy. The chicken was a dumb idea, though, since chicken is the only thing I've had trouble eating since I got preggers. Usually I can eat it unless I was the one to prepare it. Something about the smell of raw chicken right now just ruins it for me. So anyway with the already feeling nauseous thing, chicken just didn't do it for me.
Thank the Lord for those mashed potatoes, though. Them taters and their brown gravy topping made my day.

A post about not posting
It's not that I don't have stuff to post about... I could post about our dog swap, or our bedroom swap, or the new truck, or the book I just read.
It's just that thanks to long days of feeling exhausted, followed by long nights at work make me really not feel like posting. I will soon, just not right now.

Nothing new around here...
I started watching Evie again this week (her grandma was in town last week and took care of her), and have been working at the Pantry full swing once again. Surprisingly, I feel like I've got more energy now than I did all last month. Maybe I just needed stuff to do!
Bran and I have been renovating our house once again, making the bold decision to make our upstairs living area our bedroom. We work best in frantic spurts, so the night he proposed that we change our layout, the rooms were torn apart, the bed and a dresser was moved, the couch disassembled, and a big hole knocked into the wall were our future closet will be! I'm very excited, as our new bedroom is way bigger that our old one, and the old room will make a perfect nursery/kids room. We're going to build a little hallway upstairs so that we can get to the bathroom without having to go into the nursery. I'm so excited about getting it all set up, and about getting to arrange and organize my bedroom. I'll post pictures when there's something to see.
For the sake of those of you who are interested in me and my adventures out here in Idaho, and not just the fact that I'm pregnant, I'm going to try and mix up my posts a bit so that my blog doesn't feel like it was hit by a "Babies 'R' Us" truck.
You'll have to forgive the post from the past few weeks, though, because I'm so excited I couldn't help myself. And I don't mean to say I'm not going to post any more preggy updates (my mom and mother in law would kill me for that!) I'm just going to post about normal stuff, too.

Our first Prenatal Doctor's Visit
We went to the doctor yesterday morning for our first baby appointment, which went great. It was much different from the last time we visited Dr. Shearer - instead of handing me an article about miscarriage, etc. she gave me a folder full of info about having a baby, what the baby will look like as the weeks go by, and another sonogram picture. God has been so good to us!
Because I can't help but worry, I asked her what our chances of miscarriage are at this point, and she reassured me that although there is still a slight chance, it will go away almost completely by my next appointment at 12 weeks. Even though I know that chance and statistics have nothing to do with the health of my baby, and that God has everything to do with it, it was still comforting to hear that things are looking good.

I think it looks more like this than a baby:

Keep praying for the 3 of us!
*EDIT*
Someone pointed out to me that it actually looks more like this, and I can't agree more:
