Check back later today - I finally snapped some "in-progress" photos of our new living room! I would call them afters except that we still need an area rug, to hang artwork, make new pillows for the couch and just some general decorating. I'm super excited.

After spending almost the entire month of June living out of our suitcases, we're finally in our new house! The next few days I'll be unpacking, then I should have some {amazing} after photos for you! Stay tuned!

With Jack's due date just around the corner, I've finally been getting my head into baby mode. My favorite way to do this is to add things to my wishlist! A dear Aunt of mine gave me a beautiful diaper bag when I had Emmaline, but after a cross country move and a year and a half of use, it's seen better days.  So first on the baby no. 2 list - this bag from Moop. I love the rugged feel, especially since it looks like something the hubby wouldn't even mind carrying for me every once in a while (totally an important diaper bag feature!).

Renovations!

We closed on our house Wednesday night, and Bran started demo last night. It went from being all put together and move-in ready to a mess! But it's a good thing! He's already torn out the two closets we wanted to get rid of in the living room, and is working on tearing out that wall that makes the kitchen a galley tonight. By tomorrow our living room, dining room, and kitchen should all be one big open space and I can't wait to see it!

Due to the amount of concrete dust and nastiness in the house while they're demoing, I won't have many during pictures (I've been doing my best to stay away - gotta keep myself healthy for this little guy!) but I'm going to try and have Bran snap some tomorrow. Of course we don't have any before photos because we're lame and forgot to take them. But we'll definitely have durings and afters.

In the meantime, check out this beautiful mudroom. It's my current inspiration for the addition off our kitchen:

Isn't that door incredible! And I love the built-in bench. We could totally do this in that room, and I think it would really add to the function of the room. I guess I should let Bran finish with the current renovation first though, huh?

June already?

Sorry for the absence - things have been ridiculously crazy around here! After having our offer accepted in April, it took until yesterday for us to close. It was a crazy headache and mess of paperwork, but now it is officially ours. Let the demo begin!

We're babysitting my sister-in-law while my in-laws are in Europe which means posts will most likely continue to be sparse. I'm going to try and get back into regularly updating after Jack comes in July. He's due the 31st, but I'm praying he goes early. Come before August, baby!
