So excited for Fall!!

I told Bran a few days ago that I can't wait for it to be fall. Our seasons tend to drag on here, well, summer and winter drag on at least. Fall and Spring consist of a few short weeks of weather bliss. So there we were, late September, with the thermometer hitting 80-90 every day. I kid you not, the Monday after I told him I was ready for fall, we woke up to 50 degree weather! Talk about climate change! We're hoping things warm up just a bit so we can enjoy fall for a little while before we dive into the frozen tundra of Northern Idaho Winter.

Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I love "Christmas Season", but Fall is my favorite season season. I LOVE decorating for fall. Last year, we carved pumpkins, with this result (mine's the one that's smiling on one side and puking on the other):

This year, I'm sure we'll do the typical pumpkin carving, but I'd also love to try some of these ideas I got from the lovely jailbird, Martha Stewart:

First, we have the owl-pumpkins, that are just too cute.

Then these pretty pumpkins painted white and then detailed.

And finally, I love her idea for filling flower boxes with pumpkins, gourds, and leaves for fall.
