How the Antkowiaks clear their heads.

Bran and I decided that we needed to give ourselves an actual day of rest after the eventful start to our week. Normal people would hang around the house and just take it easy... maybe watch a movie or something. But those who know us know that we're not normal. So we decided to head out of Moscow and do an afternoon trip to Spokane. This thrilled both of us. For Bran, it meant that he would get to go pick up an engine for his new "toy" (a buddy of his gave him a jeep for free, and he's gotten it running and converted it into what looks like an army vehicle). It's like matchbox cars for big boys. So he traded this guy two guns for an engine, which means that as far as I'm concerned, he got it for free. I was excited to go because for me, Spokane means shopping. So after we picked up the engine, we headed into downtown Spokane and hit the Gap and Williams Sonoma. Yes, we only went to two stores. Those that know me know that I'm not a shopper.. I get what I call "light hearted" which means that too much shopping makes me dizzy. I'm not kidding - ask my mom.

So since things have been so rough recently, we decided to treat ourselves by going out to dinner. I can't tell you how excited I was when I found out that Spokane's newest restaurant is The Melting Pot!! So that's where we went, and it was wonderful.

We had a great time, and got to enjoy spending lots of time together. It was wonderful.

  2. I know what you mean by too much shopping...too much sensory data coming in or something!

Our pastor prayed for you guys in church today. Hope you are doing well.
