Day 2...

I spent yesterday washing with Grandpa's soap, drinking dandelion tea, and popping freeze dried dandelion capsules... now the countdown to potential relief starts! The sites I found said that most women stop itching by day 5, so that's what I'm hoping for. I might even be lenient and let Friday be my "is the itching gone yet?" deadline.

As for today, things are still pretty bad. I did sleep more last night than the night before (12-3, 4:30- until my alarm went off at 6:45). From 3-4:30 I grabbed some towels that I had tossed in the freezer earlier that night and just used them to cool everything down. When I woke up the itching was back in full force, and thanks to my exhaustion and frustration I broke down. Bran is always the amazing encourager, and he just told me that it will go away eventually, and that for now I need to simply stick to my plan and keep doing what I'm doing. So I went down and took a cool bath and washed with the soap again (which amazingly does relieve the itching for about an hour and a half). I had a cup of the tea this morning and took my pill. Now I've just gotta do that for the next few days and see what happens!

Oh! I'm not sure if this is related to my new regimen, but I noticed last night that the bumps on my belly, where this whole shebang started, have improved greatly. My belly really doesn't itch anymore, and where my stretch marks were bright red and raised before, they've become much smoother and toned down quite a bit. So I guess that's good news, huh? I'm hoping this means that my hands will clear up next, followed by my legs and arms.

  1. Praise God for the little bit of relief you are seeing. Keep your eye on the prize!
