I'm dying for you to be here!
We've had our fair share of winter weather this week, complete with hail and a bit of snow (both melted before landing, thankfully). Even though our actual winter was mild compared to other years, it just doesn't seem to be over yet! It has been cold and overcast and just gloomy for the past few days, and I've had enough. I want green fields, the sun, and flowers that don't look confused!
With all of this mundane weather, it's hard to believe Sunday is Easter already. When I think of Easter, it brings up memories of egg hunts in the front yard, warm, sunny weather, and having to wear a froofy dress (though I considered any dress to be "froofy" in my younger days).
Speaking of froofy dresses, I realized that I don't have an Easter dress for Emmaline to wear (I know, how hypocritical of me to have hated dresses so when I was little, and now am talking about stuffing my child into one... oh well she can argue the inconsistency when she's older). I think I'm going to go shopping tomorrow to get her one. I figure this will be the only Easter that she won't enjoy an actual gift, and the only Easter that she won't be eating any candy, so I can get away with having a dress be her gift. When I was little I also considered clothes to be the worst gift ever. I know, I'm a horrible mother. When she's old enough to know what's going on I promise not to give her clothes as gifts. :)
